Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Seam (“the app”), a Shopify application operated by Banana for Scale AS. By installing or using Seam, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install the app.

2. What Seam Does

Seam analyzes your Shopify store’s recent activity and emails you one written summary per day, plus periodic weekly and monthly reviews. Optional integrations can deliver the same summaries to Microsoft Teams or Slack, and can incorporate performance data from a Meta ad account you connect.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must have an active Shopify store and the authority to install applications on it. You are responsible for the accuracy of the delivery address and webhook destinations you configure, and for keeping access to those destinations secure.

4. Connected Integrations

Integrations are optional and are enabled only by your explicit action. When you connect a third-party service, you confirm you are authorized to grant that access.

• Meta advertising: Seam requests read-only access to the ad accounts you select and uses it solely to include ad performance figures in your own summaries. Seam cannot create, edit, pause, or delete campaigns or spend money on your behalf.
• Microsoft Teams and Slack: Seam posts your summaries to the webhook URL you provide. Anyone with access to that channel can read them.
• MCP access: If you generate an access token, anyone holding it can read your stored summaries. Treat it as a password and revoke it if exposed.

You can disconnect any integration at any time from the Integrations page in the app.

5. AI-Generated Content

Summaries are written by AI models from aggregated data about your store. They may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. Seam is an informational tool, not business, financial, tax, or legal advice. Verify anything material against your own Shopify reports and ad platform reporting before acting on it. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on Seam’s output.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Seam to access data belonging to a store or ad account you are not authorized to access.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute Seam’s output as your own product.
• Use the service in violation of Shopify’s or Meta’s platform terms.

7. Fees and Billing

Paid plans are billed through Shopify’s billing system according to the plan you select. Charges are governed by Shopify’s billing terms, including its refund handling. Uninstalling the app cancels the recurring charge going forward; it does not retroactively refund a completed billing period unless required by law.

8. Availability

Seam is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted delivery. Summaries depend on third-party systems including Shopify, Meta, email delivery providers, and AI providers, any of which may be delayed or unavailable. A missed or delayed summary is not a breach of these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Banana for Scale AS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of Seam. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using Seam at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required by a platform partner. On termination, your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Seam after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict of law principles. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable local law.
